Insider Tips for CES

Wear the most comfortable shoes you own — the show floor spans multiple buildings across LVCC and takes 3+ days to cover fully

Get the CES app before arrival — the interactive floor map is essential

The monorail runs from LVCC to Bally's/Paris/MGM Grand — faster than rideshare during peak hours

Rideshare surge can hit $80+ for a 5-minute trip during badge pickup day — walk or monorail

Tech media parties (TechCrunch, Engadget, The Verge) are invite-only but listed on their sites — register early

Eureka Park (startup zone) requires a separate Venetian badge — worth the detour for early-stage tech

Where to Eat

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an invitation to attend CES?
No invitation needed. CES registration is open to anyone who works in or around the technology industry — and the criteria are broad. Retail and e-commerce buyers, product and engineering teams, investors and analysts, marketing and sales professionals, credentialed media and creators, and students tied to tech programs all qualify. If you have a company email, LinkedIn profile, or business card showing industry involvement, you can register. Most attendees don't exhibit — they come to scout products, meet partners, and take meetings that would take months to arrange by email.
What hotel is closest to CES at LVCC?
The Westgate Las Vegas Resort is connected via skybridge directly to the Las Vegas Convention Center — the most convenient option. Resorts World and Circus Circus are also within walking distance.
How do I get from the Strip to CES?
The Las Vegas Monorail stops at the LVCC station, serving hotels from MGM Grand to SLS. Rideshare is 5-10 minutes from most Strip hotels. Surge pricing is heavy during CES — budget $40-80 for a short trip. The monorail is faster and more predictable during peak badge pickup hours.
Is CES worth attending if I'm not an exhibitor?
Absolutely — the vast majority of attendees don't exhibit. CES is where 130,000 industry professionals come to see what's coming next, have meetings that would take months to schedule remotely, and connect with partners, investors, and suppliers in one place. If your work touches technology in any way, CES is worth at least one visit.

⚠️ Hotel Surge Alert

Hotels triple during CES week — the worst surge of any Vegas convention. Book 6+ months out or you'll pay $600+/night for a Strip property.

💰 $350–$800/night on the Strip during CES week (vs. $80–$200 typical)
